This sub-series is a way of evoking a meta-reality which would transcend our knowledge of the phenomenal world. Showing ‘mysteries’ and complexities – something that is impossible to wrap our mind around. Something that once you understand one piece of the puzzle, the other pieces leave you all puzzled and confused. Confused by the visual fragments your brain logically tries to tie together, actively making an attempt to comprehend the photograph. Yet here again in a different way, the image is manipulated like some sort of ‘trompe l’oeil’. Optical illusions for the mind to apprehend, then recognise by methodically dissecting the image.
